The Village Cattery (Awsworth) Limited are required to take and maintain information of clients and their cats. These include name, address, email, mobile numbers, emergency contact, details of the cats and their medical conditions. We also require your vets' details in case of an emergency. 

This data is provided by yourselves by completion of a form in the office or by email and then transferred into our information system.

We do not process this information in any way other than to prepare boarding records for your cats stay. We do not use the data for any purpose other than if we need to contact anyone during your cats stay and in the event of a licencing inspection, we may need to show proof of recording such information and complying with the terms of our licence. 

Copies of any invoices are kept for 6 years as required for any business by HMRC. The data and boarding information are kept securely for 3 years in line with licensing conditions. After which, they are disposed of by us via a shedder. 

We do not hold any credit or debit card details.

Conditions of stay

We reserve the right to refuse admission to any cat showing signs of ill health on arrival at the cattery.  

All cats must be fully vaccinated. Boosters must have been administered more than 2 weeks prior to boarding. 

Cats from the same household will be placed in the same suite (unless separate suites are requested at the time of booking).  

Cats over 6 months old must be spayed/neutered to prevent infection. 

Bookings are only confirmed once we have received a non-refundable deposit. Deposits paid will be deducted from your final bill. Balance of payment is to be paid prior to or upon dropping off your cat(s) at the cattery. Cancellation within 14 days of the scheduled stay, will require payment in full. Deposits are none - refundable.

Payment for the day of arrival and the day of collection are chargeable with no exceptions. Minimum charge of 3 days.

All days booked must be paid for, regardless of any changes or cancellations within 14 days of the date of stay. Certain exceptions may be made at the discretion of The Village Cattery. 

In the unfortunate event of your cat(s) becoming ill, we will do our very best to contact the person / veterinary practice specified on your booking form.  If we are unable to reach your usual vet, we will refer your cat(s) to our own local veterinary practice. In all cases, we will act in the very best interest of your cat(s) with respect to their health and freedom from suffering. We will follow the advice of a veterinary surgeon on such matters and will, of course, make every attempt to contact you and keep you informed and up to date. All costs and fees incurred in such an event are to be paid for by the cats owners prior to collection of the cat(s).
